Trading Rules for Furniture Sourcing

Clear trading principles designed to support transparent communication between international buyers and furniture suppliers.

Furndim is a furniture parameter and product information platform. We help buyers research products and identify potential suppliers. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the actual purchase transaction is entered into directly between the buyer and the selected supplier.

```
1. Product Information
Product specifications displayed on Furndim may include dimensions, materials, finishes, applications, packaging information and other available data. Buyers should verify all critical specifications directly with the supplier before placing an order.
2. Product Specifications Must Be Confirmed
Website information should be treated as product research and reference information. Final specifications, drawings, materials, colors, dimensions, tolerances and customization requirements should be confirmed in writing with the supplier before production.
3. Quotations and Pricing
Product prices may vary depending on quantity, materials, customization, packaging, shipping terms, exchange rates and other commercial conditions. A price shown or discussed during initial research is not considered a final binding quotation unless confirmed by the supplier in writing.
4. Minimum Order Quantity
Minimum order quantities may differ between suppliers and products. Buyers should confirm MOQ requirements, sample policies and production conditions directly with the supplier before ordering.
5. Samples and Pre-Production Approval
For customized or project-based furniture, buyers may request samples, material samples, finish samples, drawings or pre-production approval. Any approved sample or specification should be clearly documented and agreed with the supplier before mass production.
6. Payment Terms
Payment terms, deposits, balances, payment methods and payment schedules must be agreed directly between the buyer and supplier before an order is placed. Buyers should review the supplier's payment instructions carefully and use appropriate commercial safeguards.
7. Production and Lead Time
Production lead times depend on product type, order quantity, customization, factory capacity, raw material availability and other factors. The supplier should confirm the estimated production schedule before the buyer commits to an order.
8. Quality Requirements
Buyers and suppliers should agree on quality standards, inspection criteria, acceptable tolerances, materials, workmanship and packaging requirements before production. Where appropriate, buyers may arrange independent third-party inspection.
9. Packaging and Shipping
Packaging specifications, carton dimensions, loading requirements, shipping methods, Incoterms, freight arrangements and delivery responsibilities should be confirmed between the buyer and supplier before shipment.
10. Customs and Import Requirements
Buyers are responsible for understanding the import requirements applicable to their destination market, including customs procedures, duties, taxes, product standards, labeling, documentation and applicable regulatory requirements.
11. Certifications and Compliance
Any certification, test report, material declaration or compliance claim should be verified with the supplier and, where necessary, through the relevant certification body or testing organization. Buyers should confirm that required certifications are valid for their intended market and product application.
12. Changes to Orders
Changes to product specifications, quantities, materials, colors, packaging or delivery requirements after order confirmation may affect price and lead time. Any changes should be agreed in writing by both parties before implementation.
13. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation, refund and compensation terms are determined by the purchase agreement between the buyer and supplier. Customized, made-to-order or already-produced goods may be subject to different cancellation conditions.
14. Defects and Claims
If a buyer identifies product defects, shortages, damage or specification discrepancies, the buyer should notify the supplier promptly and provide relevant evidence such as photographs, inspection reports, packing records or other supporting documentation.
15. Buyer and Supplier Responsibilities
Buyers
Buyers should provide accurate requirements, verify specifications, confirm commercial terms and comply with applicable import and regulatory requirements.
Suppliers
Suppliers are responsible for the accuracy of their quotations, production, product quality, agreed specifications, shipping documents and contractual obligations.
16. Direct Supplier Transactions
Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, Furndim is not the seller, manufacturer, importer or contracting party for products listed on the platform. Purchase contracts, payments, production, shipping and after-sales obligations are normally handled directly between buyers and suppliers.
17. Buyer Due Diligence
Buyers should conduct appropriate due diligence before entering into a commercial relationship, including reviewing supplier identity, business information, production capabilities, certifications, references, payment instructions and contractual terms.
18. Fraud Prevention and Payment Security
Buyers should independently verify supplier payment details before making payments. If bank account information, payment instructions or other sensitive commercial information changes unexpectedly, confirm the change through a trusted communication channel before transferring funds.
19. Disputes Between Buyers and Suppliers
Any dispute arising from a purchase order, sales contract, payment, product quality, delivery or other commercial transaction should first be addressed between the buyer and supplier according to their agreed contract. Furndim may provide reasonable platform-level assistance where appropriate but does not automatically assume responsibility for private commercial disputes.
